Travel Expense for the Family of Gloria Escobar

Hi my name is Valerie Marquis. On behalf of the Children and Family of Gloria Escobar, I would like to ask that you please donate towards travel expenses while she is undergoing medical treatment in Northern California. Gloria's children and grandchildren live in the Coachella Valley and must see their Mother. Gloria has been diagnosed with Metastatic Esophageal Cancer. Her medical condition came about unexpectedly while working in Auburn California where she was admitted into the ICU. Gloria will need to remain here and cannot return home at this time. She has two daughters and sons who need assistance in travel to and from the area. Below was taken from Gloria's post recently on her journey.

Thank you friends & family for all of your love & prayers. Just an update on what happened to me & hope this helps everyone advocate for themselves & not take what Drs say at face value!

Had pain 6/1 went to urgent care on my birthday 6/4 told I had kidney stones referred to urologist. Wait 2 weeks for referral now another 2 weeks for appt dr says well stones take 4 -6 weeks so let me do another referral for camera bc u have a blockage in kidney. so gotta wait, meanwhile end up in ER AT EISENHOWER TWICE both catscan say hydronephrosis fluid around kidneys. New urologist appt scheduled a month out 8/22. So getting ready to travel on 8/5 so go to desert regional to ask if my kidneys are failing bc I’m worried & given the run around by drs, referrals, and appts a month out. Dr says kidneys are fine BUT you have a mass on your ovaries pushing on kidneys that’s the problem but nothing we can do here make appt with gyno. Ok made appointment for 8/18. Flew up north 8/5 & on 8/10 I almost passed out 3 times ambulance called takes me to hospital to find out I lost half the blood in my body & have had 15+blood transfusions in ICU since 8/10. Found out I have esophageal, stomach cancer & 20x19x18 mass filling my pelvis. Started chemo 8/18, radiation Tuesday and bleeding may have stopped or slowed since my transfusions are not every night anymore but every 2 nights. Today was 2nd chemo & have had 4 radiation treatments. This is a small hospital keeping me alive when all 3 hospitals in the valley failed me. Right now waiting on a transfer to Stanford so they can help me & just waiting on a bed so please continue your prayers & that I’m moved to Stanford asap

Any help you may offer my friend, and her 4 wonderful children Lilliana, Rebecca, JJ and RJ in her time of need would be greatly appreciated.
