Travel costs for National DECA competition
Donation protected
Hi, as many of you know, and for those who do not, my name is Tommy. This past month, my teammate Justin and I qualified for a national business competition with our original business plan Black Thorn Documentation. Since we met, we have always had entrepreneurial ideas, and because of this, we joined DECA, a club where we can express our business plans and try to make them a reality for ourselves. When we placed at state, we were ecstatic; however, the $3,300 in trip costs for the two of us lingered over our heads. The question of making that money was on our minds soon after. Through contacting multiple local businesses, we raised $1,500 which is incredible, and we are so grateful for all the support they have given us. Still, the $900 per person we must pay is very hard to come up with. That is why we ask for your help to lessen the cost of travel and lodging. The trip puts us in a room with some of the best entrepreneurial minds in the country and allows us to represent young Montana Businesses. Anything you can do to help means the world to us, and we are so unbelievably grateful for all of you!
