Travel abroad in Morocco- Mentoring Youth

I recently got accepted into a summer abroad program, CIEE Morocco, to mentor youth and learn more leadership skills. The reasoning why I need this money is because I did not qualify for the scholarship. This would greatly help my experience in High School, and will help me plan my future. I know when I'm older I want to help the youth and this will open my eyes to different types of opportunities across the world. The total cost is around $5,000 and my mother agreed to pay half if I did. I have been involved in tons of leadership activities since I was in sixth grade, and still have a passion for it to this day.  I would be gone from June 9th- June 29th of 2019. I want to learn more about my ethnicity, because as most people know, I am mixed. Traveling to Africa would surround me with a culture that I don't typically get to experience in my small town of Waterville, Maine. I need to raise most of the money by the end of March. I feel like I won't get this opportunity again and would greatly appreciate any donation, even if it was less than a dollar.
