I have a rescue dog, Joy, who desperately needs a professional and specialized trainer. Joy is a 6 year old Maltese from a puppy mill, kept in a cage and bred all her life. If that wasn't enough abuse, she was likely hit and probably thrown. Since bringing her home, I have spent 21 months rehabilitating her to the best of my ability. Joy is my 25th rescue animal and, while she’s made progress, she’s still highly anxious and extremely afraid of human touch. I’m unable to pet her, put a leash on her, or groom her. She’s also struggled with potty training and only uses pee pads 80% of the time.
I'm 82 and on Social Security. Joy has been my toughest rescue by far, and her anxiety and stress have taken a toll on my health. Yet, she’s loved and wanted in our home. We’ve plateaued in progress that we alone can make and need to get professional help.
Please, let's give Joy a better life! Any help is sincerely appreciated and will go directly to Joy.
