Hi, my name is Jean. I'm the founder of a future trauma-informed facial wellness service for women aged 18 and over especially, those who have experienced childhood trauma.
In January of this year, I earned a Diploma in Facial Massage and Skincare. With it, I developed a deep desire to provide something more than just surface-level beauty. As a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, my vision is to provide a calm, connected and compassionate space, where women with a similar lived experience, feel safe to smile again.
Why This Matters To Me
Many women who've experienced childhood trauma, carry their pain silently. This pain often shows in our faces, our posture, even our skin. My approach to facial massage is not just about skincare; it's about nervous system regulation, promoting self-care with a gentle, non-invasive classic massage to the face, neck and décolletage. My facials assist in smoothing and relaxing the corrugator muscle, located between the eyebrows and the depressors of the lower lip. Any puffiness under the eyes, can also be alleviated. Gentle facial massage, aids lymphatic drainage.

My Long-Term Plan
This isn't just a business it's a social enterprise in the making. My long-term goal is to register as a Community Interest Company (CIC) and to work alongside therapists, women's support groups and charities. My aim is to offer free or subsidised treatments to women on low incomes, in women's shelters or women referred through other childhood trauma-specific support networks.
