TRATAMIENTO PARA NADIA BLANCO

NADIA fue diagnosticada con “multiple mialoma” (una forma de cancer en la medula) en mayo 2020. Desde entonces se ha sometido a cuatro tratamientos de quimioterapia y un trasplante de medula en enero 2021 para lograr la remisión, pero solo por 8 meses. En marzo 2022 se activó de nuevo la enfermedad por lo que los médicos recomiendan un tratamiento muy efectivo llamado “Terapias de Celulas CAR T”. Este tratamiento puede tomar de 4 a 8 semanas y aunque el seguro cubre una gran parte, es extremadamente costoso. El excelente resultado de este tratamiento en pacientes con este diagnóstico ha ocasionado lista de espera de más de 7 meses en los hospitales de Miami, Ft Lauderdale y sus alrededores. Por esta razón Nadia debe mudarse a Tampa al menos por mes y medio en donde le harán el tratamiento en el Moffitt Hospital. Cualquier donación será bienvenida y muy apreciada para ayudar a Nadia q cubrir el co-pago del seguro, las medicinas y los gastos de vivienda y traslado.

NADIA was diagnosed with “multiple myeloma” (a form of bone marrow cancer) in May 2020. Since then, she has endured 4 chemotherapy treatments and one bone marrow transplant in January 2021 to achieve total remission for only 8 months. In March 2022, the disease came back, and her doctors recommended a new and very effective treatment called “Car T Cell Therapy”. This treatment can take from 4 to 8 weeks and although the insurance will cover most of it, it is extremely expensive. The excellent result that this treatment has generated in patients with the same diagnostic has created a waiting list of more than 7 months in the hospitals near Miami and Ft Lauderdale. For this reason, Nadia needs to move to Tampa for at least a month and a half where she will receive treatment in Moffit Hospital.
