Support Margi and Her Boys in a Time of Crisis
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Margi. I am originally from South Africa, and I come from a loving family. Over a year ago, my husband brought me and my two young boys (ages 3 and 4) to Poland for what was supposed to be a holiday. Unfortunately, our stay extended far beyond our plans, and what was meant to be a short visit turned into a difficult and unexpected ordeal.
After a year, my husband filed for divorce and, in a way that has left us feeling trapped, he managed to secure custody of the boys, with the court citing societal adjustment as a reason. Since then, I have been struggling to rebuild my life here.
Things have become even more challenging: I was ordered to pay maintenance, but shortly after, I lost my job. As a result, I am now in significant debt. Recently, debt collectors froze my bank accounts and seized the funds I had saved for my visa and work permit. The next steps threaten to include seizing my personal belongings and, potentially, my imprisonment — a situation I desperately want to avoid.
Currently, I am unable to pay my rent or the maintenance owed, and my family’s financial resources are exhausted. We are in urgent need of help. I am reaching out for your support to help cover my rent, settle my debts, and enable me to stay in Poland with my boys.
Most importantly, I need proper legal assistance to navigate this complex situation and fight for custody of my children. Your generous donations will help me access the legal support I need and provide a chance for my boys and me to rebuild our lives.
Thank you for your kindness and support during this difficult time.
