My name is Ren. I am a Black woman who is also a wheelchair user. For the last few years, I have attempted to raise money for an accessible van so that I can get around. For years I have tried to work with every available resource to get something that so many people take for granted. I just want to be able to go to the store or visit family and friends. Being without transportation has affected my life in so many ways. I have missed funerals, weddings, parties and protests. I have missed out on events with my daughter. My life is a constant thought of how can i experience life when life isn't designed for people like me. The goal of this GoFundMe is to make enough money to get around independently. Also, as with most people Covid took my work from home job. And in order to survive in one of the most expensive states to live, I will need to go out and find a job.
