Transportation for Gabriel

Gabriel is 17 years old, with a kind heart and great sense of humor. He was on the golf and varsity football teams, with excellent grades and a bright future ahead of him. He unknowingly had a brain bleed, which led to a stroke in September of 2019. This led to being rushed into emergency surgery where it was discovered that he also had APML Leukemia. Doctors were not hopeful that he would make it through that first night after surgery. He was in a medically induced coma for several months, and with the work of a miracle, survived. He has a very long road to recovery ahead of him as he is now wheelchair bound, with very little use of the left side of his body. He is still undergoing Leukemia treatments and intense physical therapy daily. His amazing mother has been by his side from the beginning. A single mother, this strong woman has been out of work since September of 2019 to help her son heal, backing him with all of the love and support he needs. She is currently in desperate need of a vehicle with a wheelchair ramp so that she can easily transport Gabriel to and from his daily treatments. She is currently moving him around with her own body strength, placing great strain on her back and legs. Because Gabriel’s mother is such a wonderful person, never asking for help, we have decided to start this Go Fund Me in hopes of raising the money for the much needed vehicle with a wheelchair ramp, to take some of the daily stresses off of her body and mind.
