Transportation Cost of 3g pitches & Stadium Seats

Good News
But we need your help!
We have had a real touch of good fortune.
Thanks to a tip off from a club supporter, the club has been able to secure four virtually unused 3G
Playing surfaces from a football complex that is being demolished for redevelopment.
These pitches will transform our facility at PurpleHUB in Huyton, enabling us to massively upgrade on the tired
sand-based MUGA pitches currently available.
This upgrade will enable COLFC to provide a much-needed community sports facility in Huyton, as
well as improve the training facilities available to all our teams, and assist in making the complex
financially viable as we move towards a long-term lease from Knowsley Council.
However, this is not all.
We have also secured 13 modular stand units that can accommodate some 600 spectators. These
units will be stored whilst we continue to pursue options for a stadium site with both Knowsley and
Liverpool councils. Wherever we end up, we will have a very good Main Stand!
So far, PP O’Connor Demolition, who will be the club’s new shirt sponsor in 2023, and a significant
financial contribution from an anonymous club member has enabled us to get to this point in a
matter of a few weeks.
But now, as the club’s co-owners, this is where you come into it.
We will be incurring costs in transporting these new 3G pitches and modular stands to Huyton.
There will also be additional costs in laying the pitches, installing the “kick board” pitch surrounds,
improving the security of the pitch cages, and in securely storing the modular stands.
This is a crucial investment for the club, acquiring and developing assets for the long term. We need
the club’s members and supporters to now rally to the cause and donate whatever you can spare, be
it £5 or £500, to help us make this giant leap forward.
Remember, we all, own this thing of ours. One vote each. No big money owners, no oil-soaked
despots, no hedge funds, just us!
We know we need around a further £2000 at least to transport the remainder of the items and some small additional costs such as adhesives, pins and site security.
We know times are hard for everyone, but this project is literally transformational for PurpleHUB and in the slightly longer term the club as a whole.
In real terms, we have been gifted virtually £200,000 worth of materials, and we could not turn it down, but we did not envisage the overall project costs being around £10,000!!
