My son is a heart transplant recipient with level 3 autism. We currently do not have reliable transportation to his daily ABA therapy, weekly speech, pediatric appointments, and quarterly Columbus visits to his transplant center. We do not have a complete around the clock vehicle for support.
My car has major damage to it's undercarriage, a tire that needs to be completely replaced, and two hubs were ripped in half. A loan borrowed to get the very expensive tow down a ravine needs to be paid back. The accident occurred because Jace was having a crisis. He was reaching forward and grabbing at me. I was trying to grab his Scooby snacks in the back because I thought he was hungry. I should have pulled over on the two lane highway and put my hazards on while handling the situation. We went down a ravine and almost into a stream embankment. The undercarriage damage was likely from trying to pull the car up. The tire damage was from going down the ravine. Any amount helps immensely. We don't have the support that is necessary to get him to his appointments full-time and this has been a very troubling time. At any moment, his body could start rejecting his heart and we could be put in a bad situation. Every day is a nightmare coordinating support to get him to various therapy 30 minutes away. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
