Hi, we are Phil and Christy and have been involved in full-time Christian ministry for over 15 years, each serving God in global missions work through YWAM (Youth With A Mission). We are currently based in Scotland with our 2 children where we are sharing the Good News of Jesus, through discipleship of individuals in their Christian faith. We also teach and train others both locally and globally in sustainable community development using Kingdom principles. We would love to invite you to partner with us in investing into the next 10+ years of our ministry. We are aiming to raise a further £7,000 this year to do this, having raised £20,000 (75%) of our total need so far.

We have a few needs to bring the technology/equipment that we use for ministry up to date to meet the demands of the coming 10+ years.

A new-to-us vehicle £3,000 - We are in the process of purchasing a new-to-us vehicle for both our family and ministry. The vehicle we currently have is 16 years old and starting to show its age. It’s becoming unreliable, needing more and more expensive repairs, with the gearbox getting reconditioned just before Christmas 2024.

8 years ago we purchased this second-hand Toyota Verso 7-seater. We are so thankful to God that it has enabled us to get the young people that come to our discipleship training courses, visiting teams and our family around for outreach, church, ministry opportunities, transport pick-ups and drop-offs, teaching, worship opportunities, meetings and gatherings within the UK and so much more for the last 8 years.

We have decided to invest in another 7-seater car that is 5 years old with only just over 15,000 miles on the clock and excited to upgrade to a hybrid. Praise God due to the generosity of others we have enough to cover the cost of the vehicle!

We would appreciate your help to raise a further £3,000 to cover insurance, road tax, extending the warranty to 2 years and other incidental costs associated with the purchase of a new-to-us vehicle.

This will be the most expensive item we purchase this year, but this will ensure we’re able to continue to do what we have been doing and more for the next 10+ years.

A Laptop and/or iPad replacement £600 + £400 - We are also needing to purchase a laptop and/or replace our iPad. A second laptop would enable both of us to work more efficiently. We currently share 1 laptop. It has served us amazingly well these last few years, while our children were small, but with an increase in invitation to travel and teach around YWAM and locally, and both needing to work during meetings, we are finding that this is presenting logistical challenges and hindering our ability to be as effective as we could be in ministry and communication.

We would also love to replace our 9 yr old iPad of which the screen is no longer functioning properly. Christy uses this for leading worship, and had used it for design work, artwork, and for meetings. It also comes in handy for both of us when doing teaching and presentations, to show slideshows and relevant teaching films/videos as it travels well. It would partner with another laptop to give us the ability to invest well into the various locations that are asking us to deliver biblical and practical training, as well as, help us to continue to develop the ministry and training we run in Scotland and communicate in a more timely manner with those who partner with us regularly.

A new-to-us laptop would be around £600. A new-to-us iPad with keyboard/case and stylus would be around £400.

Ministry and Outreach Opportunities £3,000 - Finally we have some opportunities to be part of outreaches and YWAM gatherings around Scotland, the UK, Europe and potentially Brazil over this coming year, so would love to invite you to join us in covering the cost of travel for these. We are aiming to raise £3,000 for these.
