Transplant & Recovery Assist for Kate & Donor

We are asking for your help for our wonderful Kate. She is a wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. We have created this GoFundMe page to help us find a liver donor and to help with the recovery assistance. The financial burden for herself, her family and the donor when one becomes available might be quite large. At this present time we are not 100% sure what their insurance coverage will provide due to the many factors involved in this process. 100% of all funds donated go directly to the Paul Family for Kate’s recovery efforts as well as the living liver donor should one be matched.

A little back story on how we got here. Kate went in for what was supposed to be a normal routine colonoscopy procedure and unfortunately there ended up being a bowel perforation which lead to emergency surgery, then to the ICU. After monitoring and declining vitals her body was struggling to fight. The hospital made the decision that she needed more emergent levels of care and they promptly transported her to University of Washington where she is now. Kate was placed on emergency dialysis and her body continues to fight, however her levels are not improving as hoped. She has been placed on the liver transplant list and is in immediate need.

Kate is a beautiful wife, and dedicated mother of two great kids. She is a fantastic friend and always there to lend a hand, she has been such an amazing support in so many areas from Boy Scouts, PTA, Community, dog rescue organizations and not to mention a Veteran of our Armed Forces.

We appreciate the support from everyone more than words can express. We are so grateful for Kate and just want her home and getting back to being her vibrant, happy, and healthy self again.
