Transplant for Takoda Holeman

Donation protected
My nephew has been accepted to go an get screened for a heart and lung transplant, but have to travel a great distance and be gone for about a week. He has been a fighter since the day he was born, He was born with Congenitive heart failure. With his mom, sister and family rooting for him and always standing with him he has had several Surgeries over his life time already, and now has an opportunity to live life with a healthy heart. This trip is the testing and and consult phase of recovery. If he gets listed for a transplant phase two will be several months of staying in California!

Takoda was born without a pulmonary artery! They did a series of operations and completed the series when he was 4 years old and gave him a for valve and constructed an artery for him! They gave him the largest one they could give him at 4 years old and when the time came to replace it they were unable too, with all the scar tissue his heart wouldn't take anouther surgery like the one need to give him a new valve l. They had to gave him a pacemaker w defibrillator in 2016 and we were told there was nothing more they could do for him, we transphered hospitals to UW when he turned about 18 as he outgrew children's! In 2020 he got very sick and was transported from the ER to UW where he stayed for a week as they got him balanced out and on new medications! Much to our surprise we received a phone call the day before Christmas 2022 with a potential transplant opportunity, while he thought about it there referral closed on him and it just reopened this year! So it's been a 25 year rollercoaster but by the grace of God and lots of prayer here he is with this new opportunity which He has decided to pursue, as is his only option left! I do have all the paperwork to pursue FMLA, as my wonderful sister Fiare recommended which some of it required already being in motion which I will fill out to hopefully help if he is a candidate for a transplant after these tests and consult! This is just the first leg of his journey your help would be a blessing if you can't donate please share to everyone.

Thank you and God Bless
