Most of you know me and my journey these last three years but for those that don't here is a little about myself. I was raised in Paradise, California and after the Camp Fire I moved to Yuba City. Shortly after the move I started experiencing medical issues that started out with chronic hives. One day at work I suffered a heart attack at which they determined I was in stage 5 renal failure (end stage renal disease) I have gone through the following:
172 doctors appointments
754 dialysis treatments
6 major surgeries
1 heart attack
1 stroke
9 emergencies room visits
1 flatline and revival
839 days of worrying it may be the last time I saw my kids
But thankfully after 3 years the day has come that I honestly thought never would a full match Kidney Transplant with U.C. Davis. Thanks to my great friend Tim Wyatt. This Gofundme is to help with no less than 4 months of lost of wages, transportation expenses, medical bills, potential childcare, food and help with bills as they arise. It is truly hard to ballpark a number to reach for so we set it a little high to start until things start going to see where we really end up with our needs. Tim is doing the most selfless act imaginable and has no medical benefit to this surgery other than helping make sure I get more time with my little girls. He will be making a seperate gofundme as well and I encourage you to split the donation you're willing to make with both of us as we have both agreed to split both gofund me to whoever is in need the most. In june I had a stroke and was told that due to being placed on a lifetime blood thinner that I no longer qualified for a deceased donor. Leaving me with the only option of a living donor. Tim answered that call with no expectation other than helping give life. To anyone reading this, every bit no matter how big or small counts in helping ensure we are both able to financially overcome this and head towards recovery.
