Transplant and Anti-rejection Drug

Donation protected
I have been in renal failure for the last ten years. During this time I have continued to work during the day while conducting my dialysis treatments at home during the evening hours. I have patiently waited for my turn for a kidney transplant at Loma Linda Medical Center. Recently I was invited by another transplant facility, Emory University in Atlanta, GA, to evaluate for a transplant in their region. This second transplant opportunity is fast becoming a reality. Part of the transplant process is the establishment of an Anti-rejection Drug Fund. Anti-rejection drugs run about $5,000.00 per month. The last time I checked with my insurance carrier, they covered the majority of these drugs, but the copay is approximately $1,500.00 per month. The establishment of the Anti-rejection Drug Fund is so that I have a backup in case I am not able to cover the monthly copay. This Fund is not intended to cover the drugs for every month, but only for when the copay is a hardship. The fund covers the hardship month and provides me with an opportunity to devise an alternative solution for the following month. The purpose of this fundraiser is to collect contributions to open this fund. Thank you for your participation. I am deeply touched by everyone’s thoughtfulness to help me achieve my goal.
