TransLiberation Art Coalition

The TransLiberation Art Coalition was created to generate visibility, and to empower and elevate the lives of our transgender and gender nonconforming community. We fight erasure, hateful law making, media misconceptions and cisgender appropriation of our narratives by reclaiming our own power and voices. We use an online community, pop-up events and two art shows a year to endeavor towards those goals.

We had our debut 2017 Spring Show in April and the turn out from the community was incredible. Many people were overjoyed by the mere existence of the safe space, platform and content. Since then we've had two more shows, which each event drawing more artists, vendors, musicians, and people from all over the community.

Attendees has described our events as "a breath of fresh air" and "a reminder that [our] voice is needed. [We] are not alone." As the event goes on the need to get together (both gender nonconforming and cisgender communities) to celebrate gender variant identities, and to advocate for their equality, becomes even more clear.


Please help us raise money to grow our organization and support the next show. The transgender and gender nonconforming community deserves more than protests, support groups and vigils. We deserve to be connected to our creativity, culture and community. We deserve affirmation and validation. We deserve to remember that we are never alone.
