IMPORTANT UPDATE #2: We have some great news for all the nootropic enthusiasts who are keeping a close eye on the crowd-funding process! After a long search, we have found another reputable agency who have agreed to do the translation for half the original price!!!

So, what does that mean? It means that the goal of the crowd-funding campaign drops from 4,584 USD to 2,500 USD!!! As of now, you've donated more than 20% of the target. In addition, Cosmic Nootropic will match your donations! This means that 1,150 USD out of 2,500 USD is already collected. This is quite impressive, considering the limitations we have faced in spreading the word about the campaign.

IMPORTANT UPDATE #1: We’re watching closely how the process of crowd-funding is moving forward. As of now, we are almost 6% of the way toward our goal, which is good, but we need to keep spreading the word about the crowd-funding campaign. The more people know about it, the more funds we can raise! Unfortunately, so far we were not able to reach the people on r/nootropics - the main platform where people interested in this campaign are to be found. RUSSIAN BOOK ON MEDICAL IMPROVEMENT OF BRAIN FUNCTION

 

After making a post about the Soviet book on Nootropics I’ve seen a great deal of interest among fellow redditors. I was encouraged by the feedback among nootropic enthusiasts and started searching and studying other books on nootropics. After all, a great deal of knowledge about nootropics and neuropharmacology was lost to the West and the wider world after the collapse of the USSR.

 

I found and bought a book by another prominent Soviet and Russian professor Dr. Arushanian, published in 2016 and called “Medical Improvement of the Cognitive Brain Function”.

 

This book is written for Students of medical universities and it has information regarding many aspects of cognitive brain function. In this book Dr. Arushanian sets forth modern views on the neuro- and patho- physiological and chemical mechanisms and aspects of cognitive impairments and brain function in Q&A form.

The idea of the book is to summarize years of the author’s own research and the experience of his co-scientists in a convenient form so that we can quickly find necessary information.

 

Crowd-Funding

 

After my post in the blog several customers of my nootropic store CosmicNootropic emailed me with a suggestion to donate a certain amount of money so that I could have this book translated into English. That is how I came up with an idea of launching a full-scale crowd-funding campaign to translate the whole book into English and make it available for everyone to read.

 

Contained within are some important therapeutic approaches that proved valuable for the treatment of various ailments & conditions. Making those widely available in literary format is what I want to achieve by launching this campaign.
