My name is Alwyn (Harding Jones) author of a book in Cymraeg titled 'RAPA - Anturiaethau Cymro Ifanc ym Moroedd y De', which translates as 'RAPA - the Adventures of a Young Welshman in the South Seas'.

The book is centred on the incredible story of my grandfather surviving the sinking of a coal-carrying sailing ship in the middle of the South Pacific in 1918 and living with the crew of 24 on an isolated island with the natives for six weeks. The island, Rapa Iti is still one of the most isolated and unspoilt islands in the world and is some 700 miles south of Tahiti in French Polynesia.

Following several requests to have an English version of my book by people from countries including Portugal, France, New Zealand, Tahiti, England and Wales I aim to have the story translated, an e-book created and a limited number of books printed.
