Transitioning to Jasper

The McGrath family awaits our new family members, Mom (30 years old) and 1.5 year old son. We have a bedroom for them in our home where they will become part of our family for however long they need. They fled from Ukraine to Turkey recently and are going to be traveling across to Canada in the next few days.

 

We want to ensure the mother is not rushed getting to work (though she plans to work 3-4 days per week) with such a young child & can have some financial freedom as she settles and gets what she needs. We are also looking for help with their plane fares to get from Turkey to Edmonton where we will pick them up. We have had generous donations already and so appreciate all of the help.

 

We are opening up this assistance through our personal account to be given directly to her, prior to her having her own account set up in Canada.

We will update this group accordingly so you can follow their transition to Canada, more specifically, our home in Jasper.
