Transitioning to a Safer, Promising Life in LA
Donation protected
After spending 2 1/2 years, using it as escape/sage haven, and watching my friends be laid off and have to make lay offs it is time for me to leave Vegas. I have done the research about what it would take to get back to Oklahoma or Texas, as well as long term cost vs connections/reward in those places and realize now it is time for me to go back to a happy little one bedroom/studio/random shack in LA. The opportunities for gig work, trivia hosting, and even service industry gigs are greater than they are in other places, the crime rates in areas comparable rent wise in both Oklahoma and Texas are higher than the areas in and around LA with fewer social programs. I have also been offered a house full of furniture, which leads to lower costs in the long run as well. I am being given financial, work, and artistic opportunities at a new level right now and want to take full advantage but do need help moving and getting out of a town that, while helpful, is facing an economic downturn that is not safe for many right now.
