Aloha! Our ohana is having to vacate our home 11/29/16 due to our lease ending, though we have found a house we are unable to occupy our new home until 11/4/16. With that being said, we have checked with Family Life Center (they are assisting us with a portion of rent and deposit ) and they have informed us that they have no transitional housing apartments vacant- I am a full time manager at Savers in Kahului and my husband is disabled and a stay at home dad who is yet to be awarded his disability benefits yet (after being denied twice, and with his disease advancing- we were finally approved and should have alreay started receiving his payments, unfortuanately SSI benefits aren't always "timely"- which is why we are in the situation we are in.
I have searched around and have found a motel that can accomodate us for the dates we need- please help us, anything helps; praying for us, sending good vibes, donations or suggestions!
