Hi everyone, my name is Caitlin Mcbride, and I’m a 16-year-old Transition Year student in Temple Carrig Greystones, Co Wicklow. This year, I’ve been given an amazing opportunity to travel to Uganda with my school to help build classrooms for children who don’t have access to the same resources we do.
During this trip, our group will work alongside local communities to help improve school facilities, support education, and learn about life in a completely different part of the world. I’m really excited to take part, not only because I want to help, but also because I know this experience will teach me so much about teamwork, empathy, and the importance of education.
To make this trip possible, I need to raise €1,500 to cover travel costs, accommodation, and project materials. Any support—big or small—would mean a lot to me and will directly help us create safer, better learning environments for the students we’ll be working with and also helping me fund my trip
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story and for supporting this project. It truly means the world to me!
