Hi,

My name is Mia. Me, my domestic partner, and our fur baby are originally from GA. We relocated to Mt. Juliet in April 2023 after my domestic partner accepted a new position lasting 1 year until he is able to transfer to the state of his choice to work and live permanently. I work in healthcare and am enrolled to go back to school starting in September.

We left TN on Saturday morning heading to GA to visit family and friends and spend quality time. Upon our arrival I noticed my doorbell camera detecting a lot of motion. I checked the camera and saw all of my neighbors being evacuated. I watched the fire move from the far end of the hallway to my door. At that moment I realized that the fire was too big to be contained.

Sharing the news with family and friends, the devastation set in that we will be returning to TN to nothing. Everything we have worked so hard for is gone. The funds raised will help contribute to re-establishing our residency, clothing, replacing books/essentials for school, and ensuring our fur baby is comfortable.
