I am a trans woman recovering in a safe house from sex trafficking, domestic violence and adjacent violations. As I have been healing without many resources, my past due child support obligation has left me vulnerable to a felonious warrant and consequent incarceration, and loss of custody on Jry 31st, and I can't afford a lawyer to advocate on my behalf. For context, after bringing a child abuse case against my abusuve ex to CPS, she, and her expensive legal team, were able to portray me as a "crazy transgirl," and, at each step, the system has backed the higher-voiced cis mother's  depiction of my instability, without evidence and despite such a damning convergence of evidentiary proof of her abuse, including my son's recorded disclosures, her admissions by email and text, her long history of predatory behavior, including a list of past victims, eye-witnessed abuse, and so many other documented signs and symptoms of her violence. Though she has not been cleared of the allegations, and though I have not (and never have been) accused of anything, she has managed to put me in dire jeopardy during my recovery.
