The WAGE (Women Advocating Girls Education) group are fundraising for Camara Education, an Irish-born charity that provides computers, teacher training and innovative learning programmes to schools across Africa. Camara Education exists to help support those living in 3rd world countries who have little or often no access/resources to a life of education. With your support and donations, Camara will be able to fund computer labs/e-Learning centre in Tanzania, serving low-income families and communities where most girls cannot receive a proper education.
How can your donation help?
€5000 raised will provide:
• 25 PCs to an local Secondary School
• 1 networked classroom server.
• 1 AVS (voltage stabiliser).
• 5 days of ICT Skillbuilder face-to-face training for teachers.
• Free access to the Camara Learning Academy platform where teachers can continue their online professional development.
• Access to digital learning materials and video-based content aligned to the local curriculum.
• Maintenance and technical support to the school for 4 years.
Camara Education Tanzania has evolved to become a leader in providing sustainable ICT in education, to date having benefited over 150,000 students in more than 500 schools in Tanzania and have been linked with measurable educational benefits.
A donation of €30 would provide access for 3 girls to become computer literate.
A donation of €200 would provide a PC for a local Secondary School
