Transforming a Former Bar into a Center of Barakah
I complained to Allaah about a bar across the street... and He Answered by shutting it down!
We’ve been given the opportunity to transform a former bar here in Wilmington into an Islamic Resource Center—a place for modest attire, Islamic books, and a mother & infant support bank for families in need, to name a few.
We’re raising $15,000 for the initial startup costs to bring this vision to life.

Islamic Store Setup — $1,500
- Initial inventory (abayas, khimars, thobes, kufis)
- Islamic books (Qur’an, beginner texts, children’s books)
- Display racks & shelving
Vision: Accessible Islamic essentials for the community.
Mother & Infant Bank — $1,000
- Diapers (various sizes)
- Baby formula
- Clothing & basic essentials
Impact: Supporting single mothers and families in need — sadaqah that directly reaches homes.
