Transformative Educational Mission Trip to Ghana

Hi everyone!

I am excited to share an extraordinary opportunity that I will be part of, and I am seeking your support to make it a success. I will be part of a team leading a group of teenagers from distressed situations on an educational mission to Accra, Ghana. This journey holds the potential to be a life-changing experience, giving them a chance to deepen their understanding of their heritage, grow as leaders, and engage with their peers and communities across the globe.

Our mission will include leading a STEM camp for 50 teenagers at Nyame Bekyere Christian School. The teens will have the opportunity to serve as mentors and allow them to be role models, inspiring younger children through both sports and education.

Additionally, we will immerse ourselves in the rich cultural and historical landscape of Ghana. We will visit the historic slave dungeons, along with visits to museums and educational centers, which will provide the teens with a profound connection to their roots and a deeper understanding of the transatlantic slave trade’s impact on African diasporic communities.

We will also participate in a youth conference, where the boys will exchange stories and insights with African teens, fostering cross-cultural dialogue and relationships that will broaden their worldviews.

This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience designed to inspire and equip teens with a deeper connection to their African heritage while empowering them to become community leaders and advocates for positive change. However, in order to bring this vision to life, I need your support!

I am seeking financial support to help turn this mission into a reality. Your contribution will not only make it possible for me to attend the trip and cover essential expenses, but it will also provide these boys with a transformative experience. Most importantly, your support will help nurture future leaders who are motivated to create meaningful change in their communities.

I’ve raised most of the funds, but I’m still about $900 short of my goal. Any amount you can contribute will be deeply appreciated and will make a meaningful impact—both for the teens joining this mission and for the incredible community we’ll be serving in a remote village in Ghana.
