Transform my organic multifunctional farm in Italy

Hi, my name is Berbera. Later in life I tried to create my life's work in a multifunctional organic farm, Fattoria la Fonte in Montese (Mo), Italy, where people and animals can enjoy what nature has to offer. Respect for the environment and the beauty of the place are utterly important for us. We keep goats in a very beatiful place, chickens and have a cheese factory and a slaughter house. We also grow potatoes and other seasonal products. Due to a whole series of complicating factors, unrelenting very serious health problems for my husband Paolo, lack of good management of human resources, an overly idealistic and optimistic approach, the whole basic plan and so on, the farm is in very bad financial shape. It has been very difficult for a while, but now it has dawned on me that I cannot continue the same way. I cannot panic every day trying to get the enormous job done again, never have a day rest, never go to sleep with peace of mind that the farm is in order, slave to continuous financial stress running from market to market, no matter how nice those markets are, even driving overwhelmed by sleep. I want to hand over the farm and work more people-oriented, as a guide to the little pearls of beautiful Italy. That's much more respectful to my talents. Instead of creating beauty, I would like to share the beauty that is in abundance here. So I'm going to start selling the goats and the goat stable and as much of that as possible, so that the part of the farm that we still want to keep is financially healthy again. Perhaps the long-desired short food chain can still be achieved in collaboration with others. I would therefore very much like to ask you for a financial contribution to be able to cope with this transformation, i.e. divesting agricultural activities and setting up a more people-oriented activity in rural tourism. That requires some time and space, which is currently lacking. I now need to be able to feed the goats to get them safely under other responsibility. In return I hope to be able to offer you a nice excursion in this beautiful region and in the distant future a copy of my book "Where the system falters" in which I will tell the story of the fortunes of the farm, with all the bizarre , beautiful and less beautiful details.
