Empowering Futures: LAW Scholarship Fund

Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,

For over seven years, I’ve had the privilege of awarding scholarships to deserving students, helping them overcome financial barriers and achieve their educational dreams. Among these initiatives is the Leonard Andre Williams (LAW) Scholarship, which holds a special place in my heart.

About the LAW Scholarship

The Leonard Andre Williams (LAW) Scholarship is awarded to high-achieving students identifying as students of color who are pursuing studies in the STEM field. With women making up only 28% of the STEM workforce and Black and Hispanic workers significantly underrepresented, particularly in engineering and computer science, this scholarship aims to increase diversity and foster innovation by supporting these underrepresented groups.

Here's why?

Bridging Workforce Gaps: According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, STEM occupations are projected to grow by 10.5% between 2020 and 2030, significantly faster than the average for all occupations. This growth highlights the need for a skilled workforce in STEM fields.

This scholarship is designed to empower high-achieving students who face financial challenges, giving them the resources they need to succeed in one of the most competitive and impactful fields.

Our Goal: Expanding Impact in 2025

This year, I’m excited to grow this scholarship by raising 4,000 and involving the community to expand its reach and value. Together, we can provide even more students with the financial support and opportunities they need to thrive.

Every dollar donated will go directly into the scholarship fund. Later this year, we will distribute the scholarship to exceptional students who meet the criteria and demonstrate financial need.
