We are a not-for-profit community kitchen called Transform Community Cafe, located at 2025 Yonge St. in the heart of mid-town Toronto. Our mission is to provide the community nutritious, home-cooked meals in an environment that celebrates creativity and fosters authentic connection. With technology at the forefront of society, we feel a need, now more than ever, to offer a sense of community- particularly among young people. 

Net proceeds from our scratch-made kitchen contribute directly to free creative classes for youth, ages 12-18, in the lower level of our space. Classes include: music, art, creative writing, and movement. TCC programming is entirely run by volunteers who understand the healing powers of expressing oneself creatively. With self-harm and suicide on the rise among today’s youth, our daily workshops build emotional resilience and encourage participants to look within for strength, rather than seeking external validation. In addition to empowering the community, we seek to reduce violence by offering alternative outlets that contribute to mental and physical well-being. 

Funding will allow us to further develop our creative outlets with more resources. With your support, we plan to build a semi- professional recording studio to foster the talented  young artists of Toronto.  


Our goal is to raise $50,000.

Financial contributions are needed to make sure we can keep offering our unique form of community engagement here at our first location and hopefully elsewhere in Toronto and beyond.
