Hi, My name is Ashley and my husband and I bought an old building in downtown Napoleonville during July 2020. We had this whole dream of transferring an old building and to help revitalize a small town. In the beginning, it was fun and exciting. We rented a dumpster, got it all cleaned out. Started some demo of falling down areas. My husband even tried to fix the roof (by his self). That didn't pan out. We've had the building looked at by a structural engineer and a few different contractors. The building was in worse shape then we expected and they quoted us 1.5 million for complete renovation. We don't have anywhere near that amount of $$, so this is where GoFundMe comes in.

I know it'll take years to get enough money, but we hope to renovate the building in steps.

Our first goal is to redo the overhang. The city really wants it redone, so that would be our first to do.

That will cost around 20k to have completed. We already have architecture plans approved by the city. Just need the funds to pay the contractor.

So what is our overall vision? To build an inside Mercado aka farmer's market. Individual stalls for a fresh market and some craft set up. Napoleonville is a small town and having a reason for visitors to come to the town will help economically, help small businesses thrive, take away their food desert status, and bring in jobs. It's a win for everyone. They have no grocery in town, so this would be a great help to their community.

We already do a small market outside the building every Friday.
