Transform a Penny into $5,000 for American Humane

Americans throw over 65 million coins away each year.

We only needed one.

Our story starts with a single penny, something that seems so insignificant, something to be stored away under a couch cushion for years just to be thrown away when found. Our mission, is to turn this one seemingly trivial penny into $5,000, all in the efforts for American Humane, a non-profit organization who's mission is to create and maintain the well-being for all animals, from disaster relief all the way to rescuing abused animals.

You may wonder, how are we turning a penny into $5,000?

For two months, my project partner Joel and I (Ewan) are venturing into downtown Omaha, in hopes to upsell this penny into something larger. The entire project is documented and uploaded onto our YouTube, The Penny Paw Project.

Is this insane? Perhaps. Is this for a good cause? Absolutely.

We do not see a single penny (hehe) of any funds donated to this page. 100% of it goes directly to American Humane.
