Hi this is Mardi. A Life lived Trans Woman who turned 64 January 9th!

I originally started this GoFundMe in January to accept gifts for my 64th birthday and the following month for my 29th Happy BitsDay (Vaginoplasty) that was on February 14th Valentine’s Day.

I’m still paying off these BITS with trauma.

I’m dealing with a lot of trauma that comes back up sharing my survival testimony online.

It’s been a heavy year for my community and creating content about it. And I am now dealing with a-fib attacks (atrial fibrillation) which is acerbated by stress.

The bills are starting to pile up especially from wellness retreat I took for my health last month. And ironically, the retreat actually made all of my symptoms worse. But they did get better once I got home and my Cardiologist booked me in for a “ablation” heart procedure that could put my a-fib into remission :) 

But the wait list is up to a year. (The only downside to free Canadian healthcare)

So in the meantime, I need to keep myself unstressed as much possible, eat right, exercise, blah blah blah lol

Publishing content on the daily, putting my first book proposal together plus making a weekly podcast has been a joy but also very exhausting. So I NEEDED to go on that wellness retreat last month for my health and to be able to continue my work.

I guess I’m a “volunteer” content creator sharing my story online because I do not make any money on the thousands of videos Ive made (with many going viral) because there are no creator programs in Canada. 

My husband and I are on a modest fixed retirement income that just gets us by. 

All the equipment and space machines, monthly apps to put out content adds up and comes out of my own pocket.

I do have a Patreon for the Podcast that generates 100$ a month for me that I am grateful for.

Any funds I am gifted from my GFM will be used to pay off the retreat and for our house taxes and insurance this year.
