Tranquil Space Teachers Collective

For many years, Washingtonians connected with like-hearted people in a nurturing setting at yoga studios called Tranquil Space. In March 2020, the pandemic shuttered the studios’ physical locations, and sadly in September 2020, YogaWorks, Tranquil Space’s corporate parent, permanently closed the studios’ doors.

It has left a hole in the hearts of many teachers and students, but the spirit of the community lives on. A large group of the Tranquil Space teachers have come together with a desire to keep this very special cOMmunity intact.  We are writing to invite you to join in an effort to create an online collective and preserve the Tranquil Space yoga legacy!

We have begun the process of building a website that will enable students to find their former teachers and to sign up for their classes. Our vision is to honor and support the friendships that we all made with one another over the years and to keep the Tranquil Space community connected by hosting virtual and (eventually) in-person offerings.

Our goal is to raise $4,000 to cover our start-up costs, which include web design, hosting and domain fees, and graphic design.
