Four dedicated members of Tramore Taekwon-Do Club—Paula O’Gorman, Lia McGrath, Robyn McGrath, and Stephen McGrath—will proudly represent Team Ireland at the ITF Union World Championships in Buenos Aires, Argentina from October 9–12, 2025.

Coached and mentored by Master Ambrose Murphy (8th Degree), the athletes have trained tirelessly under his expert guidance. Their recent success at the European Championships—where they brought home 7 medals (4 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze)—earned them a well-deserved place on the world stage. In Argentina, they’ll compete in Patterns, Sparring, Power Breaking, and Special Technique.

As they prepare for this prestigious event, they continue to train hard as a team. However, the cost of participation—approx. €2,500 per person for travel, accommodation, and registration—is a significant challenge.

Tramore Taekwon-Do, under Master Murphy’s leadership, has been a cornerstone of the community for over 34 years. The club has supported hundreds of local children and adults, building champions and strong character through martial arts.

Every donation, big or small, helps these athletes move one step closer to achieving their dreams and representing Tramore, Waterford, and Ireland with pride on the world stage.
