We are raising money for Tram Nguyen’s funeral expensed who passed away 03-16-2021.
Tram Nguyen was a mother of 5 children that were born in Saigon, Vietnam during the Vietnam War. Tram, or also known as Kim, was the leader of the Nguyen family as well, as she raised her sister's 7 sons, as well as her brother's 3 children since he was killed in the war. Tram has seen the worst that the world had to offer to escape a communist regime during the 1980s moving to the Philippines, Thailand, and Cambodia for periods of time to be in refugee camps. She was constantly threatened by the communist government during the late 1970s due to her being a supporter of the South Vietnamese Government.
When moving to the USA she raised her family in South Florida, always being the sole provider for them as she lost contact with the father of her children due to the war. As a single mother she never received any help from anyone, she demonstrated what it truly meant to be a strong & independent woman. Her only dream was to help her family escape Vietnam to build a better life in the United States. Tram (or also known as Kim) worked tremendously hard for many years just until recently when she started to suffer health issues. For the past 5 years, she had been suffering from issues with her Kidneys.
Unfortunately, Kim lost her battle and passed away on 03-16-2021. Kim was loved by many and impacted the lives of many individuals it would mean the world to her if she was able to have a proper funeral and be buried. Due to high funeral costs, the Nguyen family is struggling to find the funds to be able to bury Kim. We have decided to make a GoFundMe to raise some money to relieve the financial burden of the funeral expenses.
Thank you for donating, and Matthew, her grandson will be putting together a video in her memory so if you have any photos of her or memories you want to share please let him know. We will make sure her life was honored!
God Bless and please say a prayer for this one of a kind woman.
Also here is a video of Kim and her son Hung, reconnecting with Hung's father after 49 years.
