Education ends poverty. 

Quality education is the key to development for vulnerable communities around the globe. P4H Global is a nonprofit organization that is fighting to eradicate economic poverty in Haiti by investing in the quality of education Haitian children are receiving across the nation. Did you know that 60% of Haitian students drop out before completing elementary school? P4H Global believes that education, quality education is the key to Haiti's development and advancement. When we invest in the minds and capacity of the future generation, we empower them to create a brighter future that we could ever imagine! 

My name is Peniel Jean, and I am fundraising for a nonprofit that I am passionate about: P4H Global. As a Haitian American, I believe that Haiti can and will rise. Education is the key to Haiti's development. P4H Global specifically trains teachers across all ten of Haiti's departments. To date P4H has trained over 7,000 teachers! They will continue until every teacher in the nation is empowered to serve and lead the next generation well. According to USAID (2020), 80% of Haitian teachers are not qualified or trained to be in the classroom. P4H is radically transforming the Haitian educational system by investing in the capacity of Haitian teachers. They believe, when you train a teacher, you transform a nation. 

We are specifically looking to fundraise $5,000 USD to help P4H adopt a school in the North Department. Currently, P4H has over 100 schools on a waiting list that would like to receive training and pedagogical support, but there are limited resources. When P4H adopts a school they provide conduct a diagnostic, provide intensive training, and then accompany the director and school teachers throughout the school year through classroom observations and weekly distance coaching. Through their holistic approach, P4H schools are improving the quality of education provided to Haitian children across the nation!
