Training Polish social supports in Emotional CPR

Tax deductible
Dear friends, i am so grateful to you who have supported this journey. I am making one more appeal to cover unexpected expenses of Covid tests we want all participants to take and masks  because the new omicron variant has been increasing.

Hi my name is Dr Daniel B. Fisher. I am a psychiatrist and am Vice President of the National Coalition for Mental Health Recovery. I am raising funds so I can travel to Poland in May and teach Emotional CPR to social support workers who are comforting the Ukrainian refugees . I am one of the developers of eCPR and have been providing training in this approach internationally for 12 years. I have provided 7 trainings already in different regions of Poland. We now have 2 eCPR trainers in Poland and this trip will enable me to develop more trainers. eCPR is an uncomplicated approach by which anyone can help another person through a crisis. Participants of the 12-hour, evidence-based training learn to Connect, emPower and Revitalize fellow community members. This approach is ideally suited to helping people through universal traumas such as the Ukrainian crisis. Our website: www.emotional-cpr.org
I have planned a 2-day training in Szczecin,Poland, May 9,10th,2022, and in Leszno, Poland May 12,13th. My host will be Fundacja Bliżej Seibie, whose director, Katarzyna Antkowiak, would be a cotrainer. Another cotrainer, Margaret Zawisza, will also be my interpreter.
