Training for shelter dogs at Humane Society New Ro
Tax deductible
Many shelter dogs have trouble being adopted because they have behavioral issues or, more likely, develop them from being in their kennels too long. Adoption meet and greets are much more successful when they've had ongoing training and stimulation while in the shelter. They have a trainer come work with the dogs most in need weekly but it's not enough. They need more hours for her to work with the longer term dogs who haven't been adopted yet. Each training session is $60. Your donation will go DIRECTLY to the training session to help alleviate the dogs' stress and, in turn, get them adopted faster! I am a volunteer at the Humane Society of Westchester and I see the amazing strides these dogs make after working with the wonderful trainer.
