Tragic Loss of Two Kind Hearted Brothers

Dear Michiana community,

Yesterday, May 15th 2022, a tragic event occurred that will forever change our community. Two boys from St Joseph High School in South Bend, Indiana drowned at Warren Beach. One brother was a Senior and the other was a Sophmore.  

Four of our local youth boys went to the beach and three went deep out into the water. As the tide rose higher, the three boys were pulled underwater, but one was found and saved. The other two boys were found later, but it was too late as they had already drowned. These two boys were brothers (pictured on the right), Ahmed and Saleem, 17 and 16 years old. Their mother had lost her husband two years prior-this news was shocking for her. May God grant her strength, support, and eman to cope with this tragedy. Please help us in supporting her and her two other young children. Keep praying for her and her children to receive the highest place in Heaven.  Ameen
