Tragic loss of two houses and pets on Racecourse Lane

Yesterday’s wildfires in Stourbridge caused devastation for many families. My Dad, Step-mum and sister all lived on Racecourse Lane in Farm Cottages, next door to one another.
The fire spread rapidly from the fields behind and they were lucky to escape with their lives. My Dad has suffered burns to his arm and neck but has now been released from hospital. Both houses have been devastated beyond repair.
After calling Farm Cottages their home for 20 years, everything is gone: their belongings, their memories and the places they felt safe. We also believe that my sister’s 2 beloved cats have sadly perished, which has added even more heartbreak to an already devastating situation.
My dad and step mum are in their 70’s and retired. They have worked hard all their and my sister is training to be a nurse, working locally in Hagley serving the elderly community. They are kind hearted people who have always supported others, and now they are facing the overwhelming reality of starting over again from scratch. They are absolutely devastated and trying to process what has happened. The main thing is they are safe.
I have set up this GoFundMe to help them rebuild the basics: clothing, furniture, household essentials and the immediate costs that come with losing your home overnight. Any donation, no matter how small, will make a real difference and help them take their first steps toward recovery.
Thank you for reading and for any support you can offer. It truly means more than you know.
