On September 6th at 8:04 am we lost a truly remarkable woman, Evelyn Grafas, to complications due to Covid-19. Evelyn and her beloved husband Peter contracted Covid-19 and were hospitalized to battle the disease. They struggled while in the hospital as Peter has a long history of battling MS and Evelyn chronic Asthma. Unfortunately, Evelyn lost her battle with Covid and an amazing woman, wife, friend, and mother was taken from us.
Evelyn was beloved by anyone and everyone she encountered. Her high spirit, humor, passion, strength and love captivated all those around her. She touched many lives and left a lasting impact on everyone she knew; she was truly unforgettable. She was always known for her kindness, giant hugs, and zest for life. She loved her friends, took pride in her job, and always displayed class and sass.
Evelyn and her husband Peter always showered you with warmth and love. Their love for each other and their daughter Jennie was what they cherished the most.
Although Evelyn has passed, Peter and Jennie’s battle continues. Evelyn was the primary caregiver for Peter throughout his battle with MS. Peter is still in the hospital recovering from Covid-19 and will have lasting effects as the disease continues to impact his health and aggravate his Multiple Sclerosis. Peter will need to be in a long term skilled nursing facility once discharged from the hospital.
Evelyn and Peter are two people loved by so many and if there is any help or support anyone is able to give please consider contributing to this GoFundMe page. All the money raised will go to helping the family in paying for Evelyn and Peter’s two week hospital stay, Peter’s skilled nursing care facility and a memorial service for his wife Evelyn.
Thank you for all the love, support and prayers. Please keep us in your thoughts as we as we honor Evelyn’s memory, support Peter in his recovery and ongoing battle with MS.
