Tragic Loss of Husband to Suicide

I have sadly lost my soulmate, husband, best friend, and biggest supporter Luis Héctor Anaya Rodriguez at the age of 25 from suicide on August 7/22. Myself, family, and friends are truly devastated and never imagined that this day would come so soon.

On Sunday evening, August 7, Luis Héctor Mom and Sister were devastated to find that their son/ brother had taken his own life. No one could imagine that this day could come again. Just that day Luis Héctor, my husband , was packing his suitcases to board his flight the next day to come live with me in Playa Del Carmen. Little did we know that Luis Héctor was in a torrent of pain, and his mind wouldn’t let him find peace. Luis Héctor suffers from severe mental health and depression . Luis has been in a process of finding his peace and light over the past two years. Every step of the way he has had an amazing support system around him. I had no idea that my soulmate couldn’t find the peace he was looking for. Everything couldn’t have been more than perfect that morning and the days before. We had 2 calls that day talking about how excited we were that we got to finally be together after he was in treatment for 7months and those 7months we were apart. I made the decision to go forward and move back to Playa Del Carmen to start our future and we promised each other after two weeks he would be there with me, and the rest would be history. We planned on creating a family and first buying a puppy which was our last words exchanged . Myself , his mom, sister, father, his 2 half siblings , and our family have been destroyed with this notice. I’m not sure how I will continue forward each day , but I pray that my husband, Luis Héctor, will walk with me every step holding my hand and lifting my head up high making sure to achieve everything I want in this world. That luis Héctor will protect his family , take care of his baby sister , make her dreams true , walk with her , help find peace for his parents and everyone surrounding him. This notice is still a dream and I pray one day I’ll wake up and have him back with me again.
