On May 14, 2023 (Mother’s Day), a fire occurred. Melissa and her family tragically lost two family members, including a 6-year-old child and the patriarch of the family. Melissa’s son was also injured in the house fire. The brave firemen put their lives on the line and did all they could to help them. Unfortunately, five firemen were also injured. Melissa not only lost her husband and grandchild, but she also lost everything she had. This GoFundMe will assist her in getting her life back on track. Her mother, who was the backbone of the family, passed away from cancer a few years ago. The mantle was passed to Melissa. We pray that this campaign will allow her to be able to focus on being strong for her daughter and helping her son throughout his recovery process. The impact of this tragedy extends far beyond the loss of her loved ones and cherished belongings. The fire has also taken a toll on her finances and left her family without a place called home.
