On Tuesday, April 18th, my sister Courtnee and her family were eating dinner like any other normal evening when their house caught fire. Thank God they were all able to make it out safely, but they lost everything.
My sister has 3 kids ranging from ages 3 to 9 and she's an elementary school teacher. They lost all of their valuables, clothes, shoes, toys, and so many wonderful memories made in the home. The one item my sister was able to retrieve from the house is the ashes of her baby girl that somehow remained untouched. All they have left is the clothes they wore running out of their burning home.
My sister isn't one to ask for help, so I'm setting up this fund on her behalf. Many people have reached out to ask how they can assist during this terrible time. All money/donations received will go directly to the Guzman family.
Please keep my sister and her family in your prayers and send good vibes over the next several weeks/months as she navigates through rebuilding her new normal.
With much love & appreciation,
The Guzman Family
