We are Padmaja and Vasu, roommates from Olympia Place (Apartment 117). A few days ago, a devastating fire destroyed our home and everything we owned. We made it out safely, but we lost all our belongings, and most heartbreakingly, our beloved pet.

Padmaja, an international student, lost everything she owned her valuables, passport, ID, electronics, clothes, jackets, and important documents, while Vasu lost his electronics, clothes, jackets, shoes, and sacred idols. We also both lost our school books, iPad, Apple Watch, and other essentials for college. We had just paid our monthly lease, and now everything we worked so hard for is gone.

Our families are doing their best to support us, but the financial and emotional toll has been overwhelming. We’re trying to stay strong, keep up with school, and rebuild one step at a time.
