Tragic Fire Displaced Emily: Please Lend a Hand if You Can
Donation protected
I am starting this fundraiser for my dear friend Emily. There was a tragic fire at her apartment building in Auburn, CA on Thursday, May 29. Her apartment (the one right below the major fire) has severe water damage. Emily and her two beloved cats have been displaced and will not be able to live in the apartment anymore. She has lost almost all her personal belongings. Also, Emily’s means of living will be impacted by this fire. She is unable to drive due to medical conditions, and she was within walking distance to her job in downtown Auburn. She really needs to find a new apartment to make it to her work place and earn her income. She has such a positive attitude, but I know she is struggling, and it will take a long time to fully recover and rebuild.
Emily is such an amazing, kind, selfless person, and I’m so grateful for her and her friendship. She’s worked so hard to build a beautiful life. If you live in Auburn, you’ve likely seen her working at our local schools (Skyridge and EV Cain) and at Baked and Brewed Cafe downtown. During our long friendship, I have personally witnessed Emily helping so many others in their time of need. I want to return the favor to her and help her during her tremendous time of need.
If you are able to, please consider donating to Emily. Even a little money will be so appreciated. All the donated funds will go directly to Emily to help her rebuild and find a new place to live. Thank you so much!
