Tragic accident totals Mom&Daughters parked cars
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Mary-Grace and I am graciously asking for your support for my Aunt, Kay Melvin, as well as for my cousin, Anna-Elise Melvin (@eliseharpermusic). In the early morning hours of Monday, March 27th a drunk driver recklessly, at 80mph, plowed into Elise’s and Kay’s parked cars. The cars were parked in front of Elise’s house in Nashville. Both of the vehicles are completely totaled. The driver fled the scene and was impaired, uninjured, and uninsured. My Aunt was visiting her daughter in Nashville to comfort her due to the sudden loss of one of her best friends and now both are completely carless. They are both some of the hardest working people I know and deserve to be rallied around. To complicate the situation, as you may be aware, Elise was recently laid off from her long-standing job at Lyft and is doing whatever it takes (currently working two jobs) to support herself while pursuing her dream as a country music singer-songwriter. Elise is only getting $1,000 for her car and still owes payments on her car that’s now totaled. She works so hard to provide for herself and really needs a reliable car! Now, she is completely without any transportation. Anna-Elise is going through a very hard season as she just lost her very good friend and music mentor, Craig Wilson, within the past week. She is currently dealing with the shock and sadness of suddenly losing one of the dearest people in her life. These are two are some of the most resilient women I know and have had to deal with more loss than any one ever should. Many of you are also aware that Elise’s Dad, my Uncle, Bob Melvin, was taken far too soon two years ago in the ICU with a diagnosis of “COVID”…. an unspeakable loss for both my Aunt Kay and my cousin Anna-Elise. My Aunt Kay had a car that was completely paid for and now while comforting visiting her daughter is now without a vehicle and will have to take on a car payment that she was not prepared for. Despite being hard-working and resilient, the unexpected, senseless loss of their means of transportation is something neither of them were prepared for or have the resources to quickly replace their cars. I know so many people love these two and I’m praying we can really bless them! These faithful, sweet family members of mine have always been quick to lend a helping hand to those in need. Now, we have a chance to reciprocate. I am asking for your help in donating whatever you feel led to contribute directly to their transportation needs. Any amount will be helpful and very much appreciated! Thank you in advance for your kindness! It means the world to me and my family! Your prayers are also appreciated. Please consider helping this precious family of mine!!
