Tragic Death of Julie Weiss leaves daughter alone
Donation protected
It was a sunny, warm day on Tuesday, February 5th, 2019 in Cape Coral, Florida. 46 year old, and single mom Julie Weiss was asked to go on a motorcycle ride that afternoon with a friend and fellow musician. What seemed like any other enjoyable ride soon turned into one of the most tragic, traumatic and devastating things I’ve witnessed in my life.
The details of the crash are still pending investigation. However, the horrific crash left Julie with severe head trauma, immense swelling of the brain, internal injuries and multiple leg fractures. The Trauma team tried their very best but Julie’s head trauma was far too severe to perform any brain surgeries.
The real tragedy of Julie’s passing on February 11th, 2019 is that she leaves her only child, 19 year old Savannah Weiss, alone, motherless and facing a mountain of expenses and huge life decisions at such a young age.
Unfortunately, Julie had no Will, durable power of attorney or medical insurance. Being that Savannah is her only child, this tragedy all comes back to her.
The details of the accident and whether the drivers insurance will cover any of Julie’s medical bills is still unknown at this time. Also, with no estate planning in order, Julie’s assets will be held in Probate until the court system can sort and rule on the case.
Although Savannah has family in Ohio, her job and life are in Florida, leaving her alone and so very far away from her family being able to easily help.
I’m starting this Go Fund Me page to try and offset some of the legal fees, medical bills and just general everyday life expenses Savannah is facing alone at such a young age.
I’m hoping this page gets shared and shared and shared again. Even if everyone would simply donate a $1 bill, it could quickly add up with the power of social media and the internet.
Julie was a loving mother, a very fun loving and high spirited friend to so many. She was a beautiful daughter and sister, a compassionate nurse and a gifted vocalist and performer. Sadly, gone too soon
Her unfortunate and tragic passing left an extremely courageous, beautiful 19 year old grieving daughter alone and scared, not knowing what tomorrow may bring.
If you find this story touches your heart as It does mine, and have a little extra funds to share, please know you’ll be helping a young lady start to put her broken life back together.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.

Life truly is a gift and not a given. Tell the ones you love that you love them every chance you get as it may be the last time those words leave your mouth and possibly the last time those simple words touch their hearts.
